Relación entre burnout y las áreas de vida laboral en un hospital intercultural del sur de Chile, 2013

Resumen
Con el objetivo de determinar la prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout en el equipo de salud de los Servicios Urgencia, Unidad de Paciente Crítico (UPC), Cirugía, Medicina y Pediatría de un Hospital lntercultural del sur de Chile, se realizó un estudio cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo constituida por 103 miembros del equipo de salud, entre ellos Médicos, Enfermeras/os, Técnicos en Enfermeria de Nivel Superior, Kinesiólogos/as, Nutricionistas y Auxiliares de Servicio. Para recolectar los datos se utilizó un item de datos sociodemográficos y las escalas de Maslach Bumout lnventory (MBI) y Aéreas de la Vida Laboral (AWS). Para el análisis de datos se utilizó la correlación de Pearson y se apoyo en el programa estadístico SPSS v.2 1.Entre los resultados se observó Burnut alto para desgaste emocional (8,8%); cinismo (7,8%); ineficacia profesional (3,9%). Se encontró correlación con significancia entre: estado civil con ineficacia profesional (p=0,003); desgaste emocional y profesión (p=O,O 13); cinismo y profesión (p=0,000); desgaste emocional y servicio (p=0,030); desgaste emocional y carga de trabajo (p=0,000); cinismo y carga de trabajo (p=0,000); cinismo y recompensa (p=0,044); desgaste emocional y justicia (p=O,O 19).Se concluye que la prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout en un Hospital Intercultural del Sur de Chile es baja, aunque varía según profesión siendo prevalente en Médicos Generales y Especialistas, seguido por Enfermeras/os. Se apreció una relación muy estrecha en cómo influye la carga laboral en el desgaste emocional y cinismo en todo el equipo de salud.#In order to determine the prevalence of Bumout Syndrome in health team of Emergency Services, Critical Patient Unit (UPC), Surgery, medicine and Pediatrics of an lntercultural Hospital in southern Chile, a quantitative study was conducted type descriptive of cross section. The sample consisted of 103 members of the health team, including Doctors. Nurses, Nursing Technicians Higher Level, Kinesiologists, Nutritionists and Auxiliary Service. To collect data an item of sociodemographic data and scales Maslach Burnout lnventory (MBI) and Air of Working Life {A WS) was used. For data analysis Pearsons correlation and support in SPSS v.21 was used.Among the results was observed for high Burnout emotional distress (8.8%); cynicism (7.8%); professional inefficacy (3.9%). lts found correlation significance between: professional inefficiency marital status (p = 0.003); emotional wear and profession (p = 0.0 13); cynicism and profession (p = 0.000); emotional wear and service (p = 0.030); emotional stress and workload (p = 0.000); cynicism and workload (p = 0.000); cynicism and reward (p = 0.044); emotional wear and justice (p =O.O 19).We conclude that the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in an Intercultural Hospital of Southem Chile is low, although it varies by occupation, still prevalent in General Doctors and Specialists, followed by Nurses. A very close relationship influences how the workload in the emotional exhaustion and cynicism in all the health care team.
